Caudumer Holsteins, R&W Breeder of the Year!
The Haytema family, R&W Breeder of the Year 2018!
At the annual meeting of Platform Roodbont in the Netherlands Sietze Henk and Tjitske Haytema, Caudumer Holsteins in Koudum (Frl.), are announced as Red & White Breeders of the Year 2018.
The Haytema family, for years active in breeding and GenHotel member, has great results both with their bulls in AI and with females in the show ring. Besides the preference for Red Holstein there is extra interest for polled breeding. The homebred Caudumer Lol P family has delivered many bulls to international AI-studs, including one of the highest polled daughterproven sires in Germany Caudumer Smile P RDC (Snowrush x Magna P RDC). Also proven sires as Caudumer Powerplay PP RDC, Europol PP and Delta Fun P, the actual number 2 NVI in the Netherlands, have proven themselves with milking daughters. On the list of high genomic Holstein sires Caudumer Batch P is the highest polled Battlecry son in the German system, while Caudumer Solitair P Red, debuting in December as the number 1 gRZG, is the absolute sensation for Red Holstein: Red, polled and the number 1!
The other renown cow family at Caudumer Holsteins, the Hinke's, are highproducing and very successful in the show ring, both local and national. Caudumer Hinke 97 EX-90 (s. Classic) was a very fancy show cow and dam of Hinke 199 EX-90, the Destry daughter that was one of the cows in the winning herd group at the HHH Show 2015. Additionally Aikman daughter Hinke 267 Red VG-88 is the Grand Champion at the Dairy Show Workum 2017.
Caudumer Holsteins has also invested in other cow families, like the Kemview Zadia's, Apina Massia's, Wilder Kanu's and Rainyridge Tony Beauty's, from which are several interesting, high scoring descendants in the Caudumer barn.
