Barendonk Emma 220 wins Midsummer Dairy Show

Barendonk Emma 220 of Barendonk Holsteins was named “Miss Midsummer Red” at the Midsummer Dairy Show in Schijndel, the Netherlands last Friday evening. Earlier the Jotan daughter won Senior Championship and placed overt half-sister Mina 210 from the Van Mil family of Ledeacker.
Emma 220 is a very successful showcow for Barendonk Holsteins. Last summer she was named Reserve Senior Champion at the NRM. Emma 220 is classified EX-92 and is projected at 12.374 kg of milk with 3.51% protein in her current 4th lactation. Her pedigree goes via an VG-88 Classic and an EX-90 Lentini back at Lica daughter Barendonk Emma 133 EX-91.

Longevity trophy

The CRV Longevity trophy was won by Barendonk Wilma 208. The lifetime total production of this Classic daughter out of the famous Wilma family is 79.458 kg of milk with 5.39% fat and 4.03% protein. Herewith she was the cow with the highest kg fat and protein production of the show.

Best exhibitor

New at the Midsummer Dairy Show was the title “Best Exhibitor”. This price is awarded to the most successful exhibitor of the show (at least 3 entered cows). Partly due to the results of Emma 220 and Wilma 208 this price went to Barendonk Holsteins.
