A unique event during the August proofs in the Netherlands. At least 3 bulls bred by Willem’s Hoeve Holsteins can be found in the top 15 of the national NVI list. Salient detail; all these three bulls are Snowman sons out of their well-known Rita family!
#1 NVI
The new #1 NVI is Willem’s Hoeve R Browning, a Snowman son out of the superior Ramos daughter Willem’s Hoeve Rita 331 VG-89 (Ramos x VG-87 Shottle x EX-92 Lord Lily x EX-93 Sunny Boy x EX-93 F16). Browning (+329 NVI) gains +37 points NVI, partly due to a higher type scores; +118 conformation. A full brother to Browning, Willem’s Hoeve R White Moo, scores +240 NVI and is the #13 NVI bull.
The strength of this branch of the Rita family is also displayed by full sisters of Browning and White Moo. Willem’s Hoeve Rita 811 GP-84 (Snowman x Rita 331) is the dam to Willem's Hoeve Rita 1175 (Chevrolet) and Willem’s Hoeve Rita 885 VG-85 (Snowman x Rita 331) is the dam to Willem's Hoeve Rita 1162 (Chevrolet). Rita 1162 has also high offspring including Willem's Hoeve Rita 1626A, a Jetset daughter that is probably the first (?) heifer to score >400 GNVI!

The pedigree of Willem’s Hoeve R Universe, the current #8 NVI bull, goes through a VG-86 Shottle back at Willem’s Hoeve Rita 282 VG-88 (Marshall x EX-92 Lord Lily). Universe combines a lot of milk (+2040 kgM) and +113 conformation and is a full brother to Willem's Hoeve Rita 3248 VG-86. Rita 3248 has several sons in AI and has high testing daughters as well. She is also the dam to Willem’s Hoeve Inseme Raisuri, the former #2 GPFT bull in Italy.
